We are still in dubai and dont get carried away that we are in toronto by seeing my location. Due to some problems I am not able to change the location.

Congrats on landing in Canada.

We got our PR cards in May 2003 and due to some obligations, we are still in Dubai working for a MNC. Could you please tell me your experience in Canada when compared to Dubai. like, is it wise to shift to canada when we have a good job in Dubai. As you have the experience in Dubai, i feel that you may judge better.

1st of all thank you so much to all for ur wishes & for ur help. Thanx a ton

As so many people has asked me about the difference of Dubai & in Canada. Let me frank. 1st of all it all depends on people preferences & thinking. We have made this decision becoz we feel it’s good for us for a long time prospect & for our family. So it’s our decision. Everyone circumstances are different from 1 another. Let me I’ll tell you something about Canada & Dubai.

1)1st day when I landed I was little upset becoz of new environment & I was in dubai state of mind. But after 2-3 days when I learn more about Canada then I’m starting loving this country. Canada is a beautiful place & I luv nature too much. Where as in dubai you do not find much greenery.

2)Here I think people are working harder than in middle east. In dubai life is little slow regarding this. Here people think more about upgrading themselves than thinking only of money…..

3)In Dubai construction is much better than Canada, obviously becoz dubai is smaller than delhi it’s easier for them to maintain it. Whereas Canada has a very big land & for this way Canada is also very well maintained. Broader roads than dubai.

4)Here people are more friendly & helpful than in dubai, there they prefer nationals 1st than others. Everywhere even in jobs also they write prefer “Nationals”. So that makes a big difference. Moreover you can open ur own business here, whereas in dubai you will need 1 national to sponsor U.

5)Regarding expenses here things are more costly than in dubai. Like if we buy 1 daal in dubai in 1.50 dhs here U’ll get it in same $1.50 plus tax also. & some grocery stores like nofrills take a cents for a bag too.

6)Transit system of Mississauga is very slow, so going to 1 place & coming back will take whole day. This is frustrating for us & for newcomers.

So Guys it all depends upon U. & I advice to all the newcomers who’re coming from middle east or from India stop comparing. If you guys come here, come with positive attitude. Though here is struggle, big challenges. But accept it. Otherwise it’s better not to come here. & I believe in 1 rule maybe becoz of economics student “Without risk there is no profit”. Sometime U achieve what U want & sometime not but give ur best. Most important Be Happy like this
