THESE ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS. So, be guided by these.
Look for 3BR 2WR Under 1200 MAX.
VERY INTERESTING. : Moving Day.

Montreal Apartment Sizes :
In the Province of Quebec, the total number of rooms contained in an apartment is used to indicate its size, rather than just the number of bedrooms. Each apartment has its own bathroom, which is considered a "half" room.
1-1/2: Bachelor or studio apartment. Contains one large room with a kitchenette and a bathroom.
2-1/2: Usually a small one-bedroom apartment. Contains a closed bedroom and a living-room with a kitchenette, and a bathroom OR (less often) a living/bedroom with full, closed kitchen and bathroom.
3-1/2: One-bedroom apartment: contains a closed bedroom, living-room and full kitchen.
4-1/2: Two-bedroom apartment.
5-1/2: Three-bedrooms OR 2 bedrooms plus a living room, dining room and
kitchen.
6-1/2 & up: Three or four bedrooms and up (be sure to ask the owner how many closed bedrooms there are).
"Rooms": This is a room in someone's home or apartment and is often furnished. Meals are occasionally included, but more often kitchen privileges are offered. Usually the people placing these ads are not students.
"Shares": These are listings of people who have rented an apartment and are looking for at least one roommate. The apartment is usually furnished except for the available room. These ads are usually placed by students.

Look for proper wording. Such as THREE BEDROOMS, it will tell you that you are getting Three BR Plus....
Try and avoid Electrical Heating. It is very Expensive to Electrically Heat and It is very dry most of the time.
3BR the rent will be 1000-1200 If it is an excellent Apartment and close to work, then decide for your self.
NO ENGLISH SCHOOLS for you. So the kids will start fresh under the French Language system.
Split your furniture that you move into two halves. Store a major portion outside into the Orange Rentals for SIX Months and just use ONLY what you need for your day to day usage. You may be moving once more after you find a nicer place. Make the deal with the movers to accommodate this. Just a thought.

These Two Movers "UniRelo" and "21C Relo", both, will help you with cross border and International moves. They are very experienced in their line of work and come with great recommendations.
What ever you do through them, get it all on PAPER for guarantees and warranties. Also obtain an insurance coverage for the goods in transit. Make sure it is DOOR to DOOR. They might also provide you with services called setting up too. check that too through them. You don't have to break your back and they are more in numbers.
For split loads, Identify the containers (small boxes) first. Load them in an order to suit its removal of the boxes with a view in mind, front half first to 'Storage' and the back half to the Apartment. If that is what you have in mind. (As suggested)
For International transit, see if you need a full container or a Lesser than a Full Container and based on that they will provide you with their rates for the goods that you want them to transport. LCL will be more suitable for 'Not a Full Container' load.
