I am a new immigrant in Vancouver, toying with different business ideas. One idea I am actively considering is starting an IT company, that either undertakes application development or does outsourced jobs on behalf of other, established, companies. While Information Technology is not my current field of activity, I have fair knowledge and familiarity with several applications including ERP. My son, who is an IT professional already owns a registered, tax paying IT company, and has contact with IT companies in India to whom some work may be outsourced, if required.

I am looking for advice from seasoned professionals about the feasibility of the business. I am also looking for professionals who are willing to partner with me in procuring contracts on profit sharing basis. They may be located anywhere in Canada, but must have strong contacts with the decision makers in the industry. All financial investments will be mine. PM me if you are interested.

As, you are not very much familiar with the IT industry, I think you need a partner who is having good knowledge of IT. Also, you may try to find a partner in India, who can also deals with off-shore issues of your business, if required.
