A lot of topics has been discussed in this forum but i could not find anything related to missing of our National Hero ( Malli Mastan babu ) since past few days in Chile summit. I myself did not know anything about this person until i saw a TV interview of his family in local TV in Andhra pradesh pleading our indian government to put pressure on Chile govt to bring back our national treasure safely back home.When i checked his personal website i was shocked to see his achievments and world records including Guiness book of world records. He is the fastest 7 summiter in the world completed in just 172 days with Canadian in 2nd place with 187 days.
Whats amazing is he is also the best in terms of educational qualifications with BE in NIT Jamshedpur, IIT Kharagpur & IIM calcutta. He could have been in top position in any corporate company leading a comfortable luxurious life with these credentials but hats of to him for following his heart to be an adventurer due to his passion for mountaineering.I personally feel ashamed that i came to know about to him now and do not know him prior when he had been making India proud in several occasions raising Indian flag on each of his successful summit.I just wanted to take a moment to put this out in the forum to create more awareness about his achievements and every Indian should be proud of his accomplishments. Time is running out and lets all pray he is out there somewhere waiting for help and Chilean government will find him sooner than later.

His sister mentioned in one of the TV interview when she got a call from Indian Ambassador in Chile to find out more about him and she directed him to his website. The ambassador called her back after sometime and he told her that he thought he was looking for a missing person until now but after knowing about him through his website he told her he is now looking for National asset and NOT just a person.

Very sad indeed.
Just heard the news that he is confirmed dead in the Andes mountain.
People like him are nevered revered when Suresh Raina's marriage to a beautiful woman is the news on the rounds now.
May his soul rest in peace !!!!

Yup a Suresh Raina, who was a flop in BOTH the tests & WC , down under . Someone who can't even play a short ball or any other ball which swings or bounces.
This guy is only good for IPL , where the boundaries are short , & the pitches are docile , so the ball at the most comes upto your waist & is also considerably slower pace.
Short boundaries - Even a mis hit or top edge goes for a SIX , with no danger of getting caught anywhere.
Ball that doesn't bounce , swing & comes at you at a very slow pace due to the lifeless IPL pitches & also the field restrictions can be smacked anywhere, even by your granny
Sad to see the news that he is no more.
India has the misfortune of her Great Sons dying young. Adi Shankara, Swami Vivekananda, Ramanujan (mathematician), Subramanya Bharathi to name a few.
Was thoroughly disillusioned to see his family members cry. They seem to be from a poor background.
If anyone sports person deserve Bharat Ratna(posthumous), it is Malli mastan Babu.
