We should have seen it coming. Rather, Delhi should have seen it coming. The surprising thing is that it has come much earlier than what many would have thought.

1) A single leader. Any voice against that leader is considered descent and anyone raising the voice would be thrown out of Party. We are not short of such single person parties - Yadavs, Jay Lalithas.... Adding just one more party to the list

2) All positions filled in by loyal people. In slang they are called Chamchas. Removal of Internal Lokpal with Loyal is another sign.

3) Fatty Ministries to Satisfy MPs and MLAs. Remember those days? Fortunately Supreme Court put a limit on the number of Ministers a given government can have. However these smart people have figured out ways. To buy off any further possibility of dissidence, 21 MLAs have been made parliamentary secretaries. This is like in the old days when coalitions with small majorities used to create a jumbo-size ministry to keep everyone in line.

4) VVIP and VIP Culture. Separate entries for the Chief Ministers and other elites.
