I am looking for a business / project where some thing can be manufactured in India for the Canada and world markets with Canada label.
So the task is to look into the possibility of manufacturing a canadian product which is being currently being done in China and get similar the product made in India. If we can't find a one, then we need to invent one and do the market study.
Been talking to some people and also reading the local news and I found that one canot beat China's prices and quality for consumer / building materials any day. China is so highly organized. The sad state of affairs in India is that even flooring tiles, Sanitary fitting, LED displays, Furnitures (some which are India's strengths) are cheaper to make in China. Even in our projects we get China's products only.
For example, when we ordered Schindler lifts for our hotel project (German company), the delivery came from China.
India is only famous for Banaras / Kancheepuram silk sarees where the demand in western countries is very less. China is also a leader in textiles (cloth) and so we canot beat them there.
Unfortunately the products are almost nil, what can be done in India for the Canadian market. However the reverse is true. India is starved for Canadian products / materials / Infrastructure/ Technology / Technical know how.
Why donot you contact Canadian Embassy webpages? There do have a trade promotion division.

Online English teaching program which can be managed from Canada and/or India. There is an acute shortage of English teachers in China, who is focusing on language skill for its next generation. After getting supremacy in manufacturing, their next target is service domain so they are after English language skill.
Recently Infosys had a long term contract with China and is going to open it’s first IT University outside India – in China. Infosys is going to provide around 4500 IT faculty members to China on long term basis. It will help India in reducing the trade deficit between India and China – for the time being. The University with 4500 faculty will start pumping out tons of IT professionals in the future and I think, India will ultimately loose its supremacy in IT domain. It will be really difficult to compete the China in IT. I feel sorry for the next generation of Indian IT professionals. Infosys is only looking for short term benefit – they will get huge profits in the next 5-10 years but what will happened to the whole IT sector in India thereafter – they don’t care. Instead of outsourcing from India, they will quickly shift to China for low cost so they will increase their profitability. Why China is providing the lucrative offer to Infosys/India because they know that only India can have so many faculty/skills and capability to train a whole generation. In return, China is going to setup massive polluting industries in India which will bring employment, technology, investments and a big time pollution.

Whatever business venture they will start will be a major flop due to all the above.
You will need hundreds of permissions and licenses and visiting low level corrupt BABUS sitting in customs, income tax offices, gov offices asking for bribes etc before any work gets done in India
The quality of work is also not there in India. Work never gets done on time and budget and the quality is also lacking when it comes to India
