What all documents i'll be needed for J1 Visa?

if you can guide me in this regard that will be really helpful

Thanks in Advance

J1 is for individuals who wish to study and work in the US. To qualify, you need to be enrolled in an approved US University.

H3 - See link. http://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/temporary-workers/h-3-nonimmigrant-trainee/h-3-nonimmigrant-trainee-or-special-education-exchange-visitor

Based on the link for H3, the occupation list appears limited, except for "other professions."

Finally, you can't apply for these visas yourself. Your employer needs to know a thing or two about immigration and has to sponsor you. Once the application is approved, you can then obtain a visa.

Ideal solution - ask the employer offering you the internship.

Hi dimple,

Thanks for your response. For J1 visa there are different categories in which one of them is "intern".

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/study-exchange.html

For internship as well do i need to get admission in US university? I am still in confusion.

while working in India i worked for a US client, for my internship i approached them. so i need to tell them which visa i fit for?

Can you guide me more on this regard

Regards
Ravil

It does appear that interns may qualify for J status as long as your employer is an approved program sponsor and/or if your employer is able to process the required paperwork. See this link - http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/study-exchange/exchange.html

and this link - http://j1visa.state.gov/programs/intern#participants (has three tabs - participant, sponsor and employers).

In general, it is challenging if the employer needs to be educated about the visa process. If they have a structure in place, they are more willing to go through the rigor.

My employer is ready to go through paper work. I am having a call today with them so i need to be prepared with all the possible answers.

Can you tell me more about H3 visa. What do you suggest which category i apply for?

Do you know any contact details of US embassy where i can contact and clear all my doubts?

You'll need to discuss with an immigration attorney. I am not familiar about H3 other than the link I posted earlier.

An immigration attorney would be able to provide customized information based on your internship offer and other details.
