I'm creating a new thread for this so that everybody knows about it. After the meeting, I got many comments that a lot of people did not attend because they didin't know about the event.

This is the final decision about the picnic.

Venue: Bluffer's park - Scarborough.

Date: July 17th, 2004.

Timings:
12.00 Noon to 1.00 PM: Gathering to the park
1.00 PM to 3.00 PM: Games and Fun activities
3.30 PM to 4.00 PM: Drinks Interval
3.30 PM to 7.30 PM: Games and Fun activities
7.30 PM to 8.30 PM: Dinner

Food: Everybody should bring food for their own need. In addition one should bring one item of sweets or snacks that can be share with 10 people. This will add variation to the food and also we will not have any wastage. Also bring light breakfast for the tea-time. If you are coming with kids, please bring necessary food, water and drinks for them as it would be hard to get anything in this park.

Activities:
This is not complete list of activities we will do in that park, but in general we will be playing following games:

Cricket
Volleyball
Kho-Kho
Kabbaddi
Satoliya
Musical Chair (Well we will not have chairs there, but will manage to do something)
Hot Potato

There will be lot of activities for Kids and we will have competition with prizes.

Picnics can never be planned meticulously. They're more fun when things are spontaneous.

Getting there: Take Brimley road south all the way, after crossing (hwy-2) Kingston road, keep straight on Brimley, the downhill road will take you into the park entrance. (Check out the view of lake on the downhill road, it looks phenomenal)

Parking: There is a parking right at the entrance of the park on the right hand side. Everyone should park there. There are two other parking lots for the marina and the beach but those will be inconvenient because of the distance. Here is the page for downloading a banner:

Please print it using color printer and stick it to your car's real glass.

Place to congregate: The Park is in 3 sections, marina section, beach section and a park section. Lets all meet at the park section near entrance of the park area (parking is on the immediate right after entrance). There is enough space for 150 cars in this lot), It is not a huge park so a big gathering of desis cannot be missed, provided everyone goes to the right section of the park. We will post a sign at the parking lot to help others who come in late to locate the group.
