Is it considered to be advertising? The program is delivered by designated non-profit agencies and is free.

I am sorry, I didn't know it was free. Lot of cheap Indian immigrants and other immigrants, please make full use of this program.
Will they get good jobs matching their qualifications or face racism after the program is done ?
Can they also collect welfare to feed their families, while being on this program ?

Online pre-arrival orientation, employment and workplace culture communication support is provided to immigrants who received approval from CIC to immigrate to Canada and are still in their home country yet. During participation in these courses clients will learn more about Canadian workplace culture and communication. Also they will have a better understanding of the job search process in Canada, credentials evaluations, research if their occupation is regulated or non-regulated in Canada. Also they will get connected with settlement and employment resources in their destined provinces.

I was told lot of these gov. agencies are just created to suck & siphon tax payers money. No immigrants benefit from it or get good jobs from any of these programs. I must admit they do learn how to make a resume at the end of it, but that same resume goes in garbage, when they apply for jobs.

But the people running the program make merry and get nice fat salaries, in the guise of helping immigrants. Its also a good vote bank for the gov.

Most immigrants have nothing but bitter experiences and are disillusioned with such programs, while their settlement funds dwindle.

I sincerely hope this one is different. Good thing is its Pre arrival and not post arrival.

Work place communications is not required if you are going to load and unload trucks in a warehouse or sit in a gas station.

McDonalds and Tim Hortons you do need it, as you can't get the customer's order wrong, they will flip at you. But lot of Filipinas have already taken up these jobs through TFW programs, so Indian immigrants might find it hard to get these jobs.

Credential evaluation is another joke, its a piece of paper, which is not valid for employment purposes, since the degree is not Canadian. ICAS, WES you name it, they are out there, it costs $$$$ to do these evaluation. But alas the Canadian employer's don't give a rats ass.

Uber has also killed the Indian cabbie business. You can no longer find that Ph.D Indian cabbie due to Uber.
