Hi,
I have a question with regards to my Sister's visitor visa to Canada.
My sister is coming to US on the Business/Visiter visa (B1/B2) for the period of 2 weeks. She is also interested in visiting me here in Canada on the same trip. She is looking to apply for the Canadian Visitor visa. Is it advisable for her to state the reason for her visit that she would be visiting me and the parents? My parents also ive with me. Or, just state in general that she would like to travel/visit Canada on the same trip to US. Of-course, she would apply for the Canadian visa after getting her US visa sticker.
What are the chances for her to get her Cdn visa approved in this case? If she mentions that she would be visiting me, would she need to provide some 'relationship' proof? What could that be? An Affidavit?
Please help. Thanks.
Ask your Sister to state exactly as you have mentioned in your body of the letter. Which is"That she will be on a business visit to the United States of America and she would like to visit you here in Vancouver while she is on her Business Trip."
All she needs to do is provide the Canadian High Commission with her itinerary with dates and show them the RETURN Ticket back home and a letter from her current employer that she is in their employ. Relationship Proof can be established with the Birth Certificates and an Affidavit. Please get it notarized, if you can.
She can supplement the facts with any Insurance Policy etc., plus the stay at the US end also with all of the travel details etc., as an attachment to the letter.
Now you enter the scenery after that statement, with an INVITATION and a request to them to grant her a VISITOR'S Visa to enter here into Canada and join you and of course her Parents too "ON A FAMILY RE-UNION" event and grace the Occasion and make it a memorable one. Give all or as much information in that letter to fill in all of the details of the family that will be present on that occasion. (Hope it is not a continuation of the Business trip here into Canada. That is a ball of wool of a different color!)
You please state that you will look after and take care of her stay and her daily needs during her stay here in Canada.
You provide..: Make that in Duplicate. She carries the copy with her, as she might need at the time of landing.
1) Her Itinerary.
2) Her Passport Details.
3) Her Employer Details.
4) Where it is that the re-union is going to take place.
5) Duration of her stay.
6) Her date of departure. Place of departure from Canada. (Not necessarily YVR.)
7) Any other materials pertinent to it. Air Line Ticket, Insurance Policy details etc.,
8) Your Employment Details and Canadian PP # Etc.,
Good Luck. That should nail it.
FH.

Also a copy of her assets in India - Bank Account details and Property details (House) if she owns one.
The more attachment she shows to India, the better.
If she is Single, her chances of getting the Visitor Visa are slim. But if she is married they are much higher.
For some reason the racist Visa officers and CBSA guys think everyone is desperate to come to Canada and will stay behind illegally after the Visa expires. When just the opposite is true. People can't wait to get out of this Frozen Dung Hole

Thanks guys.
Hi Guys,
Just an update - my sister got her 10 year multiple Canadian Visitor visa today. From my part, I only had to send her the standardized invitation letter (non-notarized) as well as my Citizenship certificate.
Thanks for all the help and advise. Really appreciate.
Congrats !!! Have a wonderful summer with the family
