Hi All,

I wanted to check which area would be good to rent out a 2Bhk apartment in n around Toronto.we are 2 adults and 2 kids and are looking for something which is closer to TTC as initially we wont drive. School preference is not our priority as of now(Elder kid will start school only from Sep 2018).So we r looking for an area which has some desi crowd, groceries shops and is family friendly.

My husband office would be near CN tower and i will start looking for job in next 6 month time once we have settled.

Any lead.

TIA
Tulika

There are s few decent places but they are in some one's Basement. But you can save tonnes of money if you stay there long enough. That topic is for another day.

But seeing the rental rates in down town Toronto, which is ATROCIOUS, you should move a good 30 minute ride away from his work place and they are really good places and you will also find a few of our CD's too. But currently at that location, they are a mix of things and you will have to choose who you want as your neighbors.

Since schooling is not much of an issue currently and if you have prams to push, see if these places given meet your requirements. But don't take too long to decide. They will be gone even before you get to see them.

Then there are other locations too. Post them to us here to tell you how good they are also. Do get it cleaned out GOOD Before you enter into stay there. Take a full day and do a thorough job. You will get a good start.

FH.

Good rental location. Desis not many.

Try this one too. They Won't be on the Market for long.

Google for Princess Management properties. Their properties at Martnigrove Eglinton as well as Royal York are decent sized apartments in Etobicoke which is a TTC ride to down town...

Do not underscore the need for good school at this moment ..Sept 2018 will be be sooner than you can think.

Both the above locations have good schools, decent sized apartments, on TTC route and central to Mississauga / Brampton ..kind of .

Thanks Fido & FH for your reply. Do you think its a good idea to rent an apartment in Mississauga new cookville GO station? Someone also suggested Isligton. But then someone said that Islington is always in news for not so good reason.

The hassle free renting will be taking a TWO/THREE BR. 2-Bath place and even at that location you may have to pay for the HYDRO. (Electricity) Anyother place will cost you more as you will have to pay the City taxes, heating Bills, Hydro and also water. Plus you will have to maintain the same. The link will provide you with a lot of rentals. Select or short list a few.

Once you land, look for a suitable job to your liking. Then find a place close by. Also see if they have Childcre facilities near by. If they do, then that will be a great place to get started.

Yes these places all get vacant during June, Jule AND August also. Get one that meets your needs.

Good Luck.
