Half the Immigrants do not know what it is that they want and the other half don't know where it is that they are heading to.

So, I said to myself 'Let me help them with a few small items to get them all started in their own field and see if i can get them into a job and see them hit the ground running'.

Surely they are doing it and a few very well at that. Then there appear a few of the sceptics who pop in with their greatest view of Canada and say 'Apply for Welfare the minute you land here'! WOW.. 'Money for Nothing and Chicks for Free'. Well there are easier ways to make a living here where the roads are paved with Gold! Yellow Brick Road.

Now to the nitty gritty..:

All about PEI. It is a small island, currently linked to the Main land by a Beautiful Bridge. It was more agricultural all these years and it is still called the SPUD Island. The population currently is 150,000 people and out of which 10,000 are the anchors or the owners there. Or own half the island.

Jobs are far a few and they always scream for fresh entrants to get in and fill them. And if you have the technical ability to do it, then you land the same.

Knowing that there are not many factories there, I will say if the HR jobs are advertised, it will be in Banks, Logistics or the Beverage Industries. I will provide you with a link to one such web site and you can also search in the Government Job Banks too.

'Indeed.' : Here is a cross section of jobs.. : https://ca.indeed.com/Human-Resources-jobs-in-Prince-Edward-Island
You can do a search for the Financial posts right at that web site to get similar results.

All the schools there in PEI are Excellent and will provide a good learning experience. But as in any system, you will have to guide and supplement your children with sufficient additional materials to excel in it. Also it looks like the demographics are changing and you can expect a few closures there to get them to function economically and might have to use the buses to commute to distant locations to avail wherever their services are offered.

In short it is a cozy location and any job available there will be only a start up one, for the pay scales.

See if it suits to your liking.

Next to Nothing.

Not just PEI, in general Canada has no good jobs for immigrants. Come here do some low level jobs, get your Passport and citizenship and then go back home. Otherwise stay here and waste your life, your choice :).

When you go back home, you will just be going with a Passport & Citizenship. You won't save and take any money with you back home. Canada is not Middle East, where you can save money. 50 % of your money goes in various taxes and 50 % in expenses like food, clothing and shelter , so you save next to nothing in Canada & live pay check to pay check.

Education in PEI will be the same as anywhere else in Canada, quality wise. The problem will be hardly any immigrants in your Kids school, especially Indian kids. Mostly it will be all White kids, so chances of bullying and racism are very high for your brown kids.

PEI has only 3 things, economy wise :

1. Potatoes, Potatoes & Potatoes, That's what they grow there.
2. Tourism ( Mostly in Summer )
3. Fishing - Mostly Lobster

Winter's are very bad in PEI.

Summer's are beautiful and scenic. If you are a tourist its good, but you are an immigrant, not tourist.

See if you can apply for WELFARE and Social Assistance as soon as you land in Canada.

See if its easy to apply for welfare or not, after landing in PEI.

There is a reason, Canada wants you to come here with around $ 25,000 in proof of funds for a family of 4 . First They want you to exhaust your savings from India, only then you can apply for welfare.

Leave your good job in India, and then come here and repent and exhaust your savings.

It can be expected that the next draw may occur in coming days, when IRCC has completed its update of profiles in the pool. Individuals who are considering entering the pool are encouraged to begin preparing a profile as soon as possible, in order to be in a position to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a future draw.

To find out if you are eligible to immigrate to Canada permanently through one of the programs managed through the Express Entry system, or through any other available Canadian immigration program, fill out a form with all of your details and await their Invitation to Apply.

Candidates who have received an ITA and want to learn more about the next steps may complete this short form. Please see the link.
