Hello,
Hope you all doing very well.
I am a Citizen lived 15 years in US for work. Two kids born in US. Now I moved to Toronto in the month of November 2017. Immediately I have applied for the kids Family Class immigration. It is in the process, Medical done.
Currently we do not get the Canada Child Benefit as the kids are not yet immigrated. I understand that we will start getting it as soon as the kids get the Family class PR. The question is, will the Government only pay the Child Benefit amount from the day the kids get the PR approval or will they pay from the day the Kids landed (Nov 2017) in Canada?
I would really appreciate the expert replies.
Thanks a lot.

Well I am not expert but I think you should apply for child tax benefit once they land in Canada. You will get CCTB from when they landed, because they ask for landing paper or proof of citizenship or canadian birth certificate.

When in doubt always apply, you have nothing to lose.
The worst things that can happen is that they will deny it & they will give you an explanation why. And also tell you what further steps you need to take & when you can reapply & will be eligible.
If you don't apply and are eligible you might lose out just due to inaction.
