Guys,
I have had a dish for the last 5 years and not once has it been zapped!
How?
First, I registered the dish in the US using my brothers address and gave my credit card for them to deduct monthly. This is the ONLY legal way and the only way not to lose money!
I had a bad experience in the first year when a crook tried to con me, much like some of you guys have been conned.
Use this method. You can register with the company through the website.
Hope this helps.

err... there is absolutely *NO* *legal* way you can get US satellite services in canada.. the only thing you can get legally in canada is either bell expressvu or star choice... even what you suggest of using a US address is not legal, its called a "grey market" because when you initially get the service this way, you can, but if the satellite company finds out you are actually in canada, they are required by law to disconnect your service...
