Thankfully such "decision" by the Panchayat has been rolled back after pressure from the National Human Rights Commission.

District Administration which had been silent spectators were forced to act after the intervention by NHRC.

This is the "Coolest" Story I have ever read in a long time . Was surely funny that these things still happen in 21st century .. Hee ! Hee . Made my Halloween weekend entertaining
