Hi,
I am an Indian citizen with the Canadian PR card. I will be travelling to India via London-Heathrow on December 10th. I have checked the official UK visa websites, and it appears that I will not require a transit visa as I hold the PR card. Am I right or is there any crazy new policy?
I am also wondering if there's anybody out there who has recently been to India through London-Heathrow and what was their experience with the transitting procedure.
Cheers!
No you will not require a transit visa because of your PR status in Canada. My family has travelled in this manner thru Heathrow and they did not need a visa. Infact, they were able to get a day visa at the airport to visit London since their connecting flight was after about 9 hrs.

If you r Indian citizen.
even if you d,nt have canadian PR card, you d,nt need transit for london.
i just travelled from Germany to canada via london ,nobody ask me transit.
No, rules are very clear transit visa is not required from Indian Citizens only if
1.you are having Candian PR Card/American Green Card
2. Or you are having confirmed Onward Ticket to a destination in USA/Canada.
As you are having confirmed ticket to Canada, they did not ask for Transit visa. Otherwise they check your transit visa/passport in Tunnel of terminal 3.
