My son is in the process of applying to several universities for admission into either
mechanical engg or veternarian studies. Thru the grapevine, we hear that it is possible to get financial assistance such as schlorships, etc in addition to the usual
osap loan. would appreciate it, if anybody could point us in the right direction.
The cost of higher education is quite high and we can't think of any other way, other than to try this route.
thanks and wishing a happy new year to all.

Hi Ghengi
Good day!
You havenot procided enough info for me to know which courses your son is applying for but I am sure, there are ways to finance ones education in Canada....and OSAP being one of the better options.
Try and find out about the eligibility of the same from the schools your son is applying to. In majority of the cases ( almost 60+%) the application of the student is accepted. In majority of the cases where it is rejected, it is due to the fact that the parents have adequate income to support the child or that the course being taken up doesnot really match the requirements of the processing authorities.
I hope this info helps.
Regards.
