I was in a similar situation.
The thing is Ontario government has made it very difficult for new PRs with foreign degrees to get into a MS program. Their requirements are unknown!
If you are a genius with exceptional grades, you might get in, no problem.
But if you are average like me, then only way you can get admission is if you know or suck upto a professor to enroll you into one of their programs. Its not easy to get into a university, as the seating is limited & they need local & foreign students (they pay high fees)!

They even ask you on the form if you will support yourself or take a loan.
If you go with the loan option, GOOD LUCK. They don’t like to educate new PRs on loans. I know this from experience, I know people on this forum are bound to disagree with me, but I just want you to keep all your options open. And be prepare for the worst case scenario. We all struggle the first few years in any new country.
Give your TOEFL & better score good on that one.
You cant get into MBA without a good score on GMAT, so drop that idea.

Apply at every university in Canada! Don’t just apply in Ontario. Believe me there are a just a few universities here & they are all good! So if you can get into any one of them you would do fine…

Start the application process at least a year in advance. A good start would be at Ryerson there are a few desi professors there, start sending them emails & get as many recommendation letters as possible from you old school (they help too).
Send me a PM if you want any more info.
& yes good luck !

Hi Everyone,
I am currently in the US working as research engineer in a well reputed university in Florida. I already have my MS in engineering. I have applied for Canadian immigration and am waiting for my landing papers. I would like to do my MBA. I have around 5 journal publications in my field. Have worked in federally funded grants and will be able to get good recommendations from my professors. Will I be able to get admission into the MBA program. I am interested in moving to British Columbia. Is it possible to get part time jobs atleast something that pays 8 to 10 dollars an hour in Vancouver. I would want to start of my MBA part time. Does the government give stuudent loans for part time. Your views and information are appreciated

If you mean evening classes. OSAP no. I do not know about bank. If you want to complete from pvt.college they have installment facility with higher interest rate compare to bank

Many thanks jellyMan for your reply

I did TOEFL in 2002, so its 3 years old, I got 273 in that.

Can I show the same (I have result copy with me)

And I got 6.5 (cumulative) in IEALTS (general) last year.

Well about Ryerson its too expensive ($20,000 fee) and also its not of very high standard as I have found from people on internet.

What u say about Carlton, Western Ontario, McMaster, YORK???

I have 75% in my previous degree which is in CS.

Warm Regards, Zia

They are all good schools !
If they offer a field you are intrested in go for it. . .
Like i said most of the schools here are good.

But dont just limit yourself to Ontario.
Look at all provinces in Canada.

Also if you can get into any university,
get good grades on your first term,
you can easily get a transfer to a better university. . .
