Hi All,

This is for everyone who works in the IT field or intend to do so, provided he/she has the required technical qualifications.

If you guys are planning to relocate to the US, now is the time to act. The BCIS has started accepting applications for H-1 visas for the next fiscal year (permission to start working from 1/10/05) against the current quota of 65,000. You will need a company to sponser a visa for you, you cannot apply for yourself. Not to mention that the quota will vanish very soon as there are thousands of eligible student in the US already waiting to get their status changed from F-1 (student visa) to H-1.

Finding a job in US sitting here in canada can be a tough thing. The best option is to contact any head hunter (recruiter) who could sponser your visa. Here is how it works-

They will look at your resume and see if you are eligible for H-1.
They will sponser your visa so that you can enter the US.
They will train you in a related software or a package.
Then they will market you in the US.

The whole process of training and marketing takes around 2-3 months after your landing in the US, depending on your interview taking skills. The recruiter gets you interview from his client companies. If you perform well, you start working with that company but remain an employee of the recruiters company, remaining on his companies payroll.

I personally know some of these recruiters and am in the process of talking to them so that I can file my application ASAP. If anyone here on canadian desi needs the contact info of these recruiters or any other info regarding H-1, they can contact me and I'll be more than happy to help.

I can be reached at 416 909 5193 or through Manjeet.Bathe@Gmail.com

Cheers,
Manjeet
