Dear desis,
we are prs and my family is in mississauga for the past two weeks now.My son who finished his 12th under cbse applied for universities in toronto for september 2005 admission.UOT sent a denial letter.he is waiting for replies from york,and ryerson.In case he is unale to get in to universities this year should repeating 12th in canada to improve his scores be a better option. or should he try to do some diploma in Colleges.Can desis give there valuable advise.

He should consider less selective colleges and universities in other regions (although York is pretty easy to get into depnding on the program). He should also consider taking the SATs. While the SAT is not required by Canadian Universities - it is offered in Canada (mostly for Canadians who want to attend American Universities) A good SAT score will help him get into a better University if his high school transcripts are less than stellar. Most Canadian universities are huge and admissions aren't that stiff. Princeton Review or Kaplan all offer SAT prep.

Thank you for your reply and advise.He could not get in to Canadian unversities this sep.York has put his appliation on hold to consider for Winter entry.His SAT was 1250 and TOEFL was 267(CBT).
