u mentioned in ur last post that U of Windsor is not good. I hav applied for masters in Automotive Engg which people tell is very good there and carries value. What do u say??Is it worth going there?

Well, the auto majors have plants located in the vicinity of Windsor. But thats about it. You can always do your automotive engg. degree in, say McMaster University which is Hamilton. After you have done that, you can apply for jobs in those companies located in Windsor.
The point being...if you want to have sex...have it properly and safely...with all precautions. I presume, you will be doing ur Masters degree only once...
If your answer is yes, then you are free to make ur choice !
Just avoid anything remotely connected with academics @ Windsor. However, if you want to enter Canada as an Illegal...well you always have Windsor..Its a desi Ghetto !!!

I hav recently immigrated 2 canada( a month ago) and I hav just completed my BEng(mechanical eng) from india. I have two options in front of me here:
One, is that I go to windsor to do my masters
Other is to do a gradauate certificate program in mechanical engg design at centennial college( a community college in GTA) which has a co-op.
I am so confused where to go. which option is best for me? u say windsor is not good but the problem is I dont have any call from any other univ. My uncle who is an industrial engineer here says that windsor is good for automotive engg and I should go there. Is there any resource say on internet where I can get some info abt the scope of my program at windsor?

Sam... as I said..if you have decided to go to Windsor, then so be it As for your other question...Nope I dont have any resource to answer your question abt the "significance" of the program. What do you mean you dont have any offers from other universities ? Have you approached the universities like harmeek has done ? There is nothing best to do than go and meet the profs/counsellors personally ! An e-mail will only get u so far. Read the sticky post and understand how you can make a prof get interested in you. However, if your sole goal is to secure a degree by doing coursework, then you can select any program in any university...(Windsor incuded)..But u wont get funding from any profs.
However, that being said, its your decision and hope u succeed in your goals.

BTW Sam..are you the same person who made an earlier post on this forum regarding a graduate course in Robotics ?
How come you switched from Robotics to Automobile engg ? Are you seriously interested in research ? If so then I would recommend the following :-
1.) See if you can complete the program in UWO (always better than Windsor, though still not good)
2.) Try and take some courses in Fuel-cells...That is hot research topic in Canada, with the Govt of Canada providing generous funding for such research.

So people want to talk about University of Windsor . This goes to all the guys in the forum who were arguing with veterans like Ottawa Nerd that U of Windsor is good or whatever ...
The only university in canada which books hotels like Taj Bengal , Oberoi and Ramada International in India for spot recruitments .
The only university which has some kind of a link up with a local college in india ( not sure , but somewhere in punjab ) from where students get lot of credits transfered just like that .
The only university in canada which has link ups with Bangladesh ( some school there ) where students do 2 years of a computer science degree and come join the CS of University of Windsor's in 3 year .
The only university that gives a 3 year CS degree for someone in a 4 year program and then on completion of 4 year gives another degree ( honors ) .
The university where upon entering the campus , instead of hearing HEY BUD HOWZ IT GOING .. one listens to ABE SAALE KYA CHAL RAHA HAIN .....
Man if the above load of crap is not suffcient .. ask me guyz ... i will give you some more mind blowing examples of people from some sub continent countries getting into windsor with the unique qualification of not being able to pass TOEFL . Yes .. for all those people who opposed Ottawa Nerds comments on this university .. you guyz are surely on right track .
Well, let me leave you guyz on a splendid note . There was a rumor among those graduates of the university that one of the students who passed out and went to industry ... did so well there that his project manager wrote a letter to the dean of engineering there asking him what the university has taught him . I havnt heard of such a response ever in my life .
When one enters a university in North America , one wants to see a healthy collection of students from different cultures .. unlike our super school which has maximum desis , chinese and then a very rare phenomenon of whites .
Obviously ... the whole atmosphere gets so desi .. people are chewing pans ( yes the same indian PAN ..... ) and what not . Mind you guyz i am not saying having desis is a wrong thing .. even U of T has scores of them ... but .. you got to see to believe it .
If anyone one of you guys dare to oppose this post .. please do .. as i am dying to write more about this ...
