Can someone advise me whether I should go for PIO card (and what is the processor for it)or wait for dual citizenship?
Go for the PIO card. See the Indian Consulate in your area for details . You can do everything with a PIO card (that really matters ) that you could with a dual citizenship

Smiley is right. Go for the PIO card. Me and my daughters have it. No one knows when the dual citizenship will be official. It's a mockery.
PIO forms are easy to fill. Go to the indian high commission web site and download the forms. Here are the links:

Opening pdf files crreps my pc out. Can someone Tell me how long does it take to get a PIO card after applying?
And do we have to give references in India or Canada or both?

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
It takes abt. 15 days to get the PIO card. U have to give references in India. I cant remember abt Canada.
