I know people who spend more than that daily at Starbucks just on Coffee, around 5 bucks.

Never cheap out on Medical insurance, because if something happens you are looking at minimum
$ 100,000 bill . Go for the best coverage and also one that's easy to make a claim and reimbursed.

By the time they come here it will be winter, even accidents like slip and fall on icy sidewalks is common for old folks from India, as they are not used to the snow & ice. Flu and getting fever/cold/cough is also quite common in Winter.

We are used to Winter, visitor's not so much, they feel twice as cold as us.

3 months Summer + 3 months Fall , is probably the best 6 months for parents to come to Canada if they want to come for 6 months.

3 months Spring too much rain. 3 months Winter too much cold.
