   ... Mississauga, where I live. I've lived for a while in Scarbharuch and Nath York, but I find Mississauga a great blend of lively, clean and safe town. Big Indian population here, some great restaurants and good city services (the city library is awesome). On the downside, its also pretty expensive and some people feel its getting a bit crowded.

   ...It is very easy to say to shift to smaller cities. I did do some research on New Brunswick about a year back..Saint John to be precise..I am sorry to say that there were absolutely no jobs in the field that I wanted. The city closes by 8 PM and it is difficult to cook Indian food since there were no Indian groceries around.

But the food felt so heavy that I didn't eat anything till 8:00 which is very very unusual for me.Its in Mississauga. I think at Eglinton and (either Dixie or Hwy 10) . Driving: International License?

I went to drive test office in Mississauga and showed them my indian license. They said they either want letter from the High Comission or a letter from the licensing authority in India certifying my license. Now i called the indian high comission and we all know that they are a buch of rude useless idiots. So i called my parents in India, they went to the RTO in Mumbai got a letter certifing my license and had it courie...

   ...ive in, maybe you can try apartments around here. Its the Square One (which is a big mall) area in Mississauga. Its kinda like Missisauga downtown and besides the mall, a lot of other facilities are very close by. A superb library, public transportation, good places to hang out, nice restaurants (both indian and not) and a big desi population. Mississauga is also one of the safest towns in Canada to live in, I've lived here for 2 years without any issues.

Re my culinary skills, I think I am pretty good at it(atleast I like to believe so! :) ) so if you are in toronto you could drop in for some authentic south indian food. When was the last time you were in bangalore..now there are a lot more places to go to for good food. The food business has boomed and there is specialty cusine of various kinds even within the 'south indian' spectrum.Will give you a list when you plan to be in Bangalore....

For about $ 300/month both of you can eat well , i.e your grocery bills . So for just about 10 dollars a day you can eat well. I am talking about home cooking and mostly Indian food like fruits , veggies, rotis , dal , chawal , chicken and fish, sabhji , milk , eggs , bread etc. Movies are around $ 10 - $ 12 per person..at movie theatres. For about $ 10 per person you can get All You can Eat buffets at indian and Chinese restaurants. Clothing , Shoes , Jackets etc are not expensive as long as you shop at non design...
