I spend Rs 5 on bus fare to my office (Rs. 10 on Volvo AC buses). Food is damn cheap. I have an Automatic car that I use on weekends. Employer is very good. I fly to Indian cities every week. I was offered a office trip to Dubai / Singapore that I refused as I have some personal commitments in India. Most of our consultants are from USA and hence I spend a lot time in 5 * hotels to stay and for lunches too (all free of charge and borne by the company). It is a far cry from the miserable life offered to me in Canada. Peace...

In Malaysia or Singapore , always try the shops which are closing down. YOu get good deals there and there is no making charge + the gold is pure. Recently when i went to TN i exchanged my Malaysia gold for indian ornaments. How it worked was like this. He sees the purity by computer and he gives the market price value (not in cash). He excludes wastage ( and not making charge). Then for the ornament that you choose he adds the market price of gold + wastage + making charges.
