   ...Hi all, Has anyone contacted the Indian consulate in Toronto recently and managed to speak to a person? If so, what are the phone options and tricks for doing so? I have literally been on the phone since 9:00 this morning and no one is picking up the phone. On their menu, I select option 0 for speaking to an operator but no one ever picks up. All the other options seem to be pre-recorded voice messages.

The immune system will be totally weak due to the Canadian winter and pollutionless environment.    NRO: ...To my knowledge, the amount in INR ( indian rupees) in NRO account cannot be converted to dollars officially. However, any amount in NRE can be converted back to dollars and vice versa You need to obtain RBI permit to move indian rupees to Dollars.

   LANDMARK DECISION BY DELHI HIGH COURT: ...h about them or perceive them as deviant has more to do with the fact that it is considered a crime (socially and legally) to admit that one is homosexual. But hiding the facts does not make them dissapear. I recently read an article in the paper which many Indian homosexuals are forced to marry women (because of our conceptions of what is normal). I feel truly sorry for those men and their wives. Hopefully this law will prevent such "forced" marriages. I never thought I would see the day when such a landmark decision would be taken by the Indian High Courts. It makes me very proud of my Indian origins....

I don't know where you are from and what kind of milk you are used to, but there's not a lot of option here. You can get unhomogenized but pasteurized milk from some health food stores like Whole Foods. The only way to get unpasteurized milk is to participate in a cow-share.

   ...Not used any of them any time - though got a quote from Elite guys once. Ended up using a russian guy - AR movers or so in York Mills. They were okay. they did not ask for food or fuel or so.. though we had kept some snax, juice and pop for them. They really took only juice + very little snax. Only thing I will say is, try to get the early morning appointment - 8 AM or so. That way, they will come on time rather than coming late and tired.

Not that you will or will not get a job in the area of your interest, but all the same it is an imporatant consideration. Suppose you are a mechanical engineer consider settling in Mississauga, Toronto or Brampton which has larger concentration of industries of your interest. If you are software engineer Ottawa is better. Just think on these lines

So if you'd like to comparison shop once in a while walk into a Chinese store as well. There is one at Hurontario / Creditview in Mississauga.

While the older Condos include most utilities in their maintenance fees, in the newer ones your are responsibel to foot your own Hydro bills. In one way this is a better arrangement as it leads to conservation and wise utilization of a precious resource.

   ...Anybody from Mississauga who wrote their test back in Sept 2010 and still waiting on an Oath letter? My application is now in 23rd month of processing. Last month the CIC call center sent a message to the local office asking for an update. The local office has 30 days to respond which will be over this Friday. Thanks DT

I can also start a topic here....why did mr Karunanithe the pm of tamilnadu got married 3 times? why did an uneducated tamil get married to a dog (I think tht dog's name was Selvi)? Y don't indian tamils give freedom to their wives? I was also told by an indian tamil not to believe his patriots.. First...u avoid talking about srilankan tamils..will u ?????    ... It's the final countdown, isn't it? For me, the countdown hasn't begun yet. But want to go back around March 2006 before the new academic year begins in India. Hopefully I should be able to pay off all the money & save money for the tickets. I guess eating outside, as in your case, plus non-veg food might be a factor in not losing weight. I don't eat non-veg so that makes it a little easier. Thanks & regards. Rajan.
