It is your (I mean the Indian) fault that you did not apply for OCI/PIO. If you had ever renewed your passport in Canada (Indian passport) they put a stamp saying that you should surrender your passport once you get cdn. citizenship (post 2010) rules. It is your fault, if you could not take leave (from an easy cdn. workplace life) and visit the embassy to surrender your passport and then we blame Indian babu's once fines are set in place for your failure to do stuff. You will stay in Canada even when there is no good job for you or when you are discriminated in ...

   ...multaneously started looking for a job only to realize that the Indian economy is presently doing worse than the Canadian economy (in relative terms) and that I haven’t received even a single interview call in 2 months in Delhi. I am now contemplating moving back to Canada leaving my wife and child behind and checking out the job market there. This time I am better prepared and willing to do survival jobs as well for some time. I am reasonably well funded and willing to a do a short term course as well if it improves my job prospects. Any advice (both positive and negative) is highly appreciated from fellow desis on whether I should try out my luck in Canada or should stay in India....

Downtown takes around 30 mins by transit, the other area were Indian community live is Clayton. The houses there are newer and rent might be $100 less. Saving, I think is a relative term. If you are stay at home with family kind of person then even $80K is good in NS.

Easy access to TTC, good rental price, etc, most of the things you are looking for. The area is good too ... we drove down at nights to check the 'shady characters hanging in the shadows' factor and it was minimal to non-existent. Good Luck with your search.

Rodney- There will be a Client Id on your letter, you can login on the CIC website and cheque your case status. 12-15 months is what they say, but most cases these days seem to get adjudicated faster than that.

Please provide me the link of Guidance Councilor and manpower placement centre run by government of Canada in Mississauga area so I can go to them for further input.
