   ...Another good place for south insian food/tamil food is Madras Palace in Scarborough. They have a veg thali that I recommend and very reasonable. They have recently opened anew one in Richmond Hill and Richmond Hill offers buffet of the same food. I did not enjoy the buffet but love the thali.

My son was born there. We liked it there but for the cold, so that one is ruled out. Right now we are thinking either Calgary or Mississauga, because we want to be around Indian community. As far as I've seen I feel that the rent is higher in Calgary than Mississauga. But in another post most of the members have replied that Alberta is better than Ontario. The only person we got was a Sri Lankan lady but she had to be dropped and picked up daily from scarborough (1.5 hr. drive from my home) and hence i refused. Then you can move out and join their Food Department - as soon as you get an opportunity. Lots of people who worked in their Call-Center moved even to the IT Dept - ofcourse they had the background training in IT. The best is to open your own Food Store - you will make a lot of money. I think Pav Bhajji is mostly a Mumbai tradition ..and also Vada Pav ..so not a Gujju food per se..but its probably spread all over in Maharashtra and gujarat by now. There are after all 30 Lakh Gujjus in Mumbai , out of 1.8 crore Mumbai population. Largest Non Maharashtrian community in Mumbai is Gujjus ....

   ...Hello! Need to throw a small party for daughter's bday for around 40 people. Most participants will be adults. Looking for a good restaurant or hall in Mississauga/Milton area. I will contact Host since they have a party hall. Any other ideas or suggestions. I guess I can book a hall and get food from brar or some place.
