No money can replace organized life, better government, better quality of air, fresh drinking water, quality electricity and excellent basic amenities, definitely safer cities than in India and so on. If it is for money .... try to improve here only. If it is for food .... you get every thing here If it is for family and friends ..... go there frequently If it is for your kids .... they will be much better of here If it is for your aging parents: YES .. you need to have a plan to stay in INDIA and take care of them and give them happiness till their last journey....

...Well, I applied to Mississauga in July 2003. I got a letter acknowledging receipt and transfer of file to New Delhi in Feb 2004. It used to be faster when they introduced a pilot project, I guess sometime in 2002. That's when it used to happen in 6 mos. Now they've just put this category on the backburner. I think their reasoning is that most parents will not actively contribut...

...Hi Friends, Finally , I got the opportunity of seeing a mouse in my apartment after 5 years of not seeing one.it looked cute though........... Both are Product of Australia and they do not come out very good. Even after 24 hours of soaking the dal, half of it does not absorb the water and it in its raw state. Unbranded moong dal from Subzi Mandi in Mississauga came close but it also has a few beans that will not absorb the water and are in their raw state even after soaking. So,

Where to settle: new immigrant wanting to establish business in vancouver

...is totally different from the way its done in India. Your success would lie in adapting & changing as fast as possible. It seems money would not be a problem for you initially so you at least don't have to worry about food on the table. My suggestion would be to keep all options open, try out life as you imagine over here & give it 12-18 months. If you think it will work, go for it full heartedly & if doesn't work you still haven't burnt your bridges back home. If you give me an idea of your business line in India, I can help more in terms of situation over here. Cheers & keep your spirits up! ...

I am planning to transfer money from this NRE account into my mother's (who is an Indian resident) regular savings account, also in the same branch. I have the following questions: 1. I believe that this amount is tax-free without any limits. But can you please confirm this for me? 2. Since I will lose repatriability on this amount, is there any other legitimate way of sending money out of India to relatives abroad. For example, I have heard that one is legally allowed to send up to ...
