General: What I should do First - Confused ?
 Started by: m2611 on 18 Jan 2009
...ship applied for any other country? YES? No?" : I am not sure what would happen if you answer "YES" to this question. Or, technically you can submit your Indian passport renewal application and on very next day apply for Canadian citizenship. I did the same thing. I didn't made anyone unhappy. You loose a day, big deal!
Originally posted by m2611 Also If I wait for PR & Indian Passport to renew first, then I am wasting another 2-3 months for Canadian Citizenship application
Wasting. Ok, what is that you can achieve in 2-3 months of getting your citizenship?...

...is in another forum earlier, posting it here now, I hope someone can help me out. I am a Canadian citizen, currently residing in California, US on a green card status. I am in the process of applying for a PAN card in India for which I am required to include a copy of my Canadian Passport that has been attested by the Indian Consulate / Embassy. The Indian Consulate General in San Francisco website says that before they will attest my passport copy, I have to first get signature verification from the issuing country of the document to be attested, which is Canada in my case.
