Canada is better than USA in this regard, where you have to take extra channels apart from basic cable to view those matches (or go to an English Pub = cost of Beer and food;) ). About American football, i have started to watch it in the last year or so. I find it interesting. it took sometime to like it but I think There is much more to the game than physical prowess. (I still dont understand the rules though). ...

Personally, I go "Yuck!" at the very thought of a snake living under my house, but then again, I'm Desi ;) ...

...lots of shopping in India. Wonder if handling a big amount of cash can be of any problem Meghal
I think banks would charge premium (included with exchange rate) if you use your canadian credit card in India. When I had my indian credit card and used it in Canada, they charged premium. I did not use my canadian credit card in India. I went to a small town, so credit cards were of no use anyway! Some businesses would charge 2-3% extra for credit cards. If you use it for buying air tickets in india, I think they would charge you USD fare (at least Indian Airlines would), which is a bit expensive than regular rate....

Where to settle: Calgary or Toronto is better for new immigrants?
Started by: Nimajo on 30 May 2015
...Nimajo, Please move to Calgary, Edmonton or Red Hat. Cold will be unbearable but then your much needed jobs are there. Though the oil industry is in recession, the price of Oil will be going up. It will bring you the much needed job. Alternate locations can be Sasketchewan (areas where there is oil and Gas). As people tell me, many mining companies have their HQ in BC. So they may hire you there on the basis of transferable skills as oil& gas and mining are related. Survival job is better got in Calgary or Edmonton than the GTA/Toron...

Change attitude man , if you are in Canada leave Indian tactics behind.
- I have been in Canada for quite a while. Your comment against "Indian Tactics" looks quite derogatory to me. Logically speaking: My "Marketing" oriented title and my failing 10 times has no connection. If you cannot encourage a person, you do well to keep silence. But do not discourage a person. Let me see, if your life goes smoothly without any problem at all and that you are happy 24/7 /365/366 of your life. When a westerner does...
