And share their experiences ? Number of people? Ratio of new comers to old timers ? Location, Food, ? Identify what could have been done better last time? etc, etc... Assuming, it turned out to be nice, A couple of thoughts: a. Why just one? Think of more than 1 picnics? Maybe one in GTA and others outside(if feasible).. b. I love picnics, but whats a pinic without a beach? How about 1000 islands? Or some park to the far east? If properly managed, and if we can have an accurate estimate of the number of people attending, we could all start off from one location and p...

The American in me would make me vote for GWB, but I know that's disastrous for the rest of the world, esp. India. But JK is a pacifist and has no real standing on any of the issues - a real "dharam sankat" on what to do ! Maybe at some point in the future, India might be ready for dual citizenship, but not yet. Most of the immigrants have a well paying job in their home countries which they have to leave and start from scratch. Also, many people come here with their families which means pressure is on from day 1 to put food on their table. Hence, career becomes a secondary focus. The messageboard is full of people asking questions about employment opportunities for new immigrants, and this news item was directed more towards such people rather than Canadian university graduates who are already in Canada and at least have some moral or financial support.[/quote] Even they know ...

Ask Immigration Expert: sending passports to CIC LA for visa stamping
Started by: sansan on 15 Oct 2003
...sending passports by mail/courier is a risky business these days ... very unpredictable. However, if you are sending to CIC LA, should not be a problem. Some people have been able to get away with it. The other problem is if you give an Indian address, CIC may ask since when and u have to provide details. REMEMBER YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO ADVISE THEM OF ANY CHANGES AT ALL TIMES!!! Worse scenario: file transferred to N/Delhi.

Started by: rajcanada on 29 Dec 2005
...e in Bangalore CGI is not very well known, i.e., it does not have the profile of companies such as Infosys, IBM, Accenture etc. So purely from an Indian perspective I do not see the big deal in getting a job from CGI. That being said, as someone mentioned above, if the aim is to relocate to another office then it would be something to consider. Of course it depends on whether CGI allows inter office transfers, especially from India. I know that is is not easy to transfer from Accenture's outsourced development arm (not consulting division) to other offices abroad.
