I think Pramod did mention the right approach to obtain police clearance from India for the “immigration” purpose. I dont think passport office will have anything to do with the Canadian immigration police clearance. Still, I might be wrong.

   Samples from India: ...The Indian company who is willing to send you samples wants you to pay for the courier. There is no customs duty when you are getting samples. Being a starter I would recommend you go to some local courier and have them arrange to pick your package from India. Courier is the fast and reliable method. Hope this helps and all the best. What it is based on, I do not know. For all the fee they collect, they do not even reply to emails and faxes.

If your parents are currently staying here, then the police certificate should be made at the Indian Consulate Toronto. The only thing confusing for me is on the cgi toronto website it says that you need to submit the original passport and will take 6 weeks to issue the certificate. I tried calling them but in vain. Can you let me know if you found any information as well. What if the person is going to travel within 6 weeks?

Skinner's utopia, you don't even get it in Canada nor any other place I have worked or lived in. Always room for improvement. Don't know about the Indian investors being jittery though. I am in constant touch with heavies in India and the mood is nothing less than euphoric. New equity mutual funds and IPOs abound. The seesaw ride adds to the exhilaration.

   ...I bought a Indian restaurant (new business) and after couple of months hydro sent me the estimated bill which I paid in time and after 3 months all of a sudden they sent me a bill of $4,000. Can anybody guide me what to do and how to proceed with this issue. I called so many times but there is no proper response from them. Can I go to consumer directly? Will GOI file cases against them? Imagine over a million sedition cases in courts across India. That would be a mockery of the Indian jostice system (its already a joke anyways). OTOH, the interlocutors such as Dilip Padgaokar are talking to the people in that state. I dont see anything coming out of this mission.

   I donot agree: ...tyam earning 30 lakhs or so per year and flying to USA at will for implementation. He told me that even in satyam he did not learn what the rs. 800 per month co. taught him. TK Sidenote : My friend in NY told me taht a PL with BA qualifications in LA earned around160K. He lived on food from guruthuwars's and used to stay in a 2 in 1 room sharing. He owned 3 houses in LA and got rent from them. What does this person think that he will achive? This is a true incident and i am not making this up....
