It’s not impossible but it is indeed tough to find work permit, still if you are interested I'll suggest, check the companies in Canada who'll be interested in your kind of work and see if they have offices in India, an internal transfer from Indian Subsidiary to Canadian is the best bet. Apply for your immigration as Ashwani suggested and please do not pay anyone who claims to get you a job or work permit. Keep away from such fraudulent consultants. Jona

NRI, PIO and OCI card holdes have different status in India. See mha.nic.in under Overseas Citizen of India for comparison of these. Of course, there is nothing called dual citizenship in India. I kept thinking of california (Bay area) because of good weather, good jobs and lots to do, but the more I read the more I hear lots of -ve comments especially about traffic and cost of living. I don't understand why you guys don't speculate on losing a job. I think getting a job is easy but sometime or the other .. maybe many years from now one has to think that he may be out of a job for considerable time .. and on a TN visa that makes things very complicated.

What about buffet restaurants? There are no individual servers you can oblige. There are cleaners not servers who would only clean your tables. Whom do you tip?    Spineless leaders: ...All Indian leaders behave like wussies when they come to US and they don’t exhibit any authority at all. All they do is whine about Pakistan and beg for help from the President. At the white house press conference they ramble on and on about terrorism in India and beg for their sympathy. Then they visit a NRI convention, have a sumptuous meal and beg the NRI's to help develop India. On returning to India, they proclaim that the visit was a success. T
