Book through the travel agent for a RETURN ticket with your PR Cards as the basis and Indian Passport for travels, and arrange for the departure and return. The rest of the questions can only be answered by the appropriate department and in person. One can open an account in Toronto branches by sitting in India and transfer the money to that account. Then at the time of landing, one can carry his statement of the local branch and show it to immigration. I did that (with HSBC branch) and it was acceptable!

The "6 months validity" rule is there when you are applying for any visa. In ur case, u are going to India as an Indian citizen and coming back to Canada as a permanent resident. Similarly New Delhi or Lagos vis-a-vis some of the smaller Chinese cities or a couple of cities in Central Asia - not the same scale for comparison. But I tend to agree with their conclusions around the 4 Indian cities profiled. New Delhi is a mess these days - impossible to get around at all.

   Saffron: ...The best saffron is got in Kashmir(India) and in Iran. That is what a shop owner in Saudi arabia told me. I donot know where to find Indian saffron in the GTA but Iranian saffron is available in all the Iranian shops on younge (between Steels and Finch). The shop is located near the sleep country and atleast 5 shops are located near each other. They are of the grocery type shops. One shop's name is Super Arzon. Hope it helps. TK A

It will make you proud as an indian. There are many indians in Candian civil services and other high govt posts. unfortunately they dont come to this forum but they are very large in number as well. I had to then go to the Indian embassy to get a visa to India ($200.00) for five years multiple. If you plan to apply on the same day make sure you have the passport forms filled, photos, etc. There is quite a bit of running about to do otherwise. ...

Can some one please suggest the prices and possible locations for a 2 BR upper middle class house, (preferably a condo or townhouse not a skyrise) attached to a very good elementary school district and more than 1000 sqft atleast. Both of us drive, so being close to indian grocery etc is not mandatory. My first one is 4.5 yrs old and second one is almost 3 yrs. I currently spend around $1500 to $2000 US for a 2BR in the east coast. Thank you!
