Here most of the initial immigrants were refugees and low-class labourers (many farmers), hence Canada is still warming up to the fact that S. Asian immigrants do have lots of intelligent professionals....

   ... I say India should not only do it but take it a step further by deporting every single immediate family member of any individual involved in subversive activities against India. People need to learn that they are "Indian" before they are a "Hindu", "Muslim", "Sikh" "Christian " or anything else. Those who can not or will not learn this lesson have no business living there. They should be deported.

   ...telling Indian H1B holders that they are not welcome here - especially because the US is still coming out of the recession? Are they signaling the beginning of protectionism in the US? It may be true that there is a little of everything. On the other hand, far too much wrong doing has been done by Indian companies who send H1B holders to the US. It is possible that this is not limited to India alone - but that is something I would not know, and can not comment about. In the past, unqualified, under-qualified, and shady characters who have never even gone to a school for computing, came to the US using fake education and experience credentials. If someone wants to complain against someone in a NEW post, they should not use names, rather use generics. e.g. One Consulting firm instead of a XYZ firm, one junk "food" vendor instead of McDonalds, One funny as hell show instead of the Simpsons etc etc. The exception to #2 would be when someone has a link to a valid news article. In this case they should be allowed to provide the link. 3) Last but not least, I do agree that the basic purpose of this site is to be constructive. But like Jake said, criticism is a part of being constructive. If the moderator observes that a thread is getting into nothing more than namecalling, he/she should either lock or delete it. ...
