Life: Misconceptions about immigration to Canada.
Started by: Big Vee on 05 May 2006
...eated for those thinking about immigrating to Canada. I'll kick it off :- 1. Immigration is FREE! Contrary to many beliefs, immigration does cost money. Apart from the obvious charges by the immigration department, lawyers, airlines, hotels and food, there is the cost of sustaining yourself in the lifestyle you expect to be kept in. If you continue a lifestyle that is beyond your means, it will cause bankruptcy. 2. The Government is different from the people Again, Canada is as close to a democratic society as you can get. The people of Canada and the Government are the same. The money that the Government has, receives, distributes or otherwise, belongs to the pe...

Face it, there are many of us who are just itching to have a verbal go at our neighbors, whether you are Indian or Pakistani. All that's needed is a little nudge. And as stupid as it is, many of us armchair heroes think we'll solve all the religious/terrorist problems by venting at eachother on public forums when the fact is it does absolutely nothing except ruin a forum that's otherwise very useful to everyone regardless of nationality. We are pretty open to discussing issues not strictly related to Canada. Also, an Indian national can always be asked by the US Consulate in Canada to apply for a visa in the country of citizenship, i.e. India. Especially if the person does not have significant ties to Canada. Hope this clarifies.

Also, how easily do the bankers at Canada make business loans? I shall be relocating towards Toronto for this effort. Please answer my questions, because I have a few more. Thank you. So here is a list of some points that I think are important. I believe that a good teacher should: - have years of professional performing experience as an INDIAN CLASSICAL tabla player. No matter what style of music you want to play, having a classical background will give you the best training, and the most flexibility later on. - have a generally positive attitude. This is with regards to the music as well as the students. - be open minded. - be able to critique students in a positive and encouraging manner. - play ...

You will have to clear it from the port. For any port, some agent from the indian port will call you and clear the contents for you. The statutory charges will be in the range of Rs.30000 (Depends on the quantity of goods) + Bribe (optional). May be if it is Mumbai port or Chennai port, bribe might be less/nil. All the best. Peace

Further, so called educated , especially in English medium, are so ignorant of cultural roots that they do not care. Only break up of India will save better states.    ...Hummer has moved to China. China helped Srilanka to defeat the LTTE and in return a spectacular Chinese naval base and an airbase is coming up in Srilanka. This will pave way for Chinese to police the Indian Ocean. Shopping: Food Processor / Mixer / Magic Bullet
Started by: meghal on 10 Jul 2006
...I have watched Magic Bullet commercial and reviews. I like the machine as it can chop the veggies ( as they say in commercial), make healthy drinks. It is a blender and jucier too. I am particularly looking for a blender that can grate the coconut for south indian curries. I think any blender can do it as I have watched my friend make coconut chutney on a $ 40 blender from Walmart. For me chopping veggies and making coconut chutneys are two important things a mixer-blender must do. Any other CD members, please share your experiences with mixers/blenders.
