I stayed there for couple of years and then moved to canada. My experience was that the indian work culture is very differenct from here. U may very well have forgotten it .. To get ahead in india it is a 9am to 9pm job and sometimes it could be 7 days a week.. I was in bombay so i had to commute 2 hrs each way.. Plus there is the Yes Yes Sir attitude u need to have. Also, an Indian national can always be asked by the US Consulate in Canada to apply for a visa in the country of citizenship, i.e. India. Especially if the person does not have significant ties to Canada. Hope this clarifies.

The things that worked for us were networking with the right people and applying for jobs day and night and the will to move and be flexible about location and $$$. Our white circle of friends worked out as good for us as our Indian n/w but that is just to point out that you should network will all and not only Indians or immigrants.    ...I have watched Magic Bullet commercial and reviews. I like the machine as it can chop the veggies ( as they say in commercial), make healthy drinks. It is a blender and jucier too. I am particularly looking for a blender that can grate the coconut for south indian curries. I think any blender can do it as I have watched my friend make coconut chutney on a $ 40 blender from Walmart. For me chopping veggies and making coconut chutneys are two important things a mixer-blender must do. Any other CD members, please share your experiences with mixers/blenders.
