   Better and cheaper Areas to rent: ...e we move to Canada?. Especially in the Ontario area. Would like to make a choice between Toronto, Mississuaga, Hamilton, London etc. Few considerations while making that decision: 1] Close to subway and/or bus transportation. 2] Close to grocery stores/malls , including Indian stores 3] Close to community centers, help agencies etc. basically all the things needed in the first 6 months for new immigrants. 4]Better job opportunities in all those areas especially I.T jobs. Would appreciate the response.

   ...and the sambhar were out of this world, really really good. There was also a restaurant on the way back to the airport where we had some traditional south indian breakfast and it was amazing. The thing is even if you manage to find restaurants that make good dosais and idlis in Toronto, you can never find the kind of sambar or chutney here. At least I never have. The closest I came was "Andhra Palace" on Oak Tree road in Edison, New Jersey. The quest continues...

   Indian DL is still valid. I drive with that on my visits and had gone through police random checks and got a fine for cell phone use too. I had shown the Ontario license as well (No IDP). Like mentioned before, much better treatment after seeing ON license! (I got my India DL on the day after I turned 18 and the picture looks nothing like me. Hence the ON license show) But like others mentioned before, driving is becoming more and more dangerous. You still can do city and short distance driving. Longer routes, train or flight is better. There are pretty cool highways though - but you do run into vehicles coming in the opposite direction in a divided highway; some idiot walking and riding ...

I am assuming that this person is a Sri Lankan tamil (along with his family) who came to Tamil nadu after 1983 and was conferred Indian citizenship. He then left and applied for refugee status in Canada. He now wants PIO/OCI to visit his remaining family members in India. (Again I am assuming this based on what generally happens when people ask for OCI/PIO and are rejected. Please excuse if you do not fall in that case.) Peace

I put Buddha and Mahavira in the class of philosophers as they preached their views without reference to any "God"... Khalsa Drive on Derry Road East (behind the Sikh Gurudwara) Rexdale Mall Ikea on Queensway Dundas Road E b/w Dixie and Crawthara , Mississauga .
