My feeling is very few Indians do these kind of things and I feel more people from other nations like Phillipinos, Chinese, Vietnamese, Pakistanis and Middle Eastern people do these more often. The reason behind this is teh lake of education to compete with qualified people who can come to US and Canada by themselves. Most Indians who land here has a good educational background. And also mostly men community do these because they take the esponsibility to send money to their family back home. Very few Indian girl's parents will be wi...

Jobs: A frank Question...Fake IT Resume
Started by: kunalcanadian on 20 May 2009
...e. One question though, won't I face the same problem(lack of relevant experience on my resume) when I apply for jobs in QA field?
Originally posted by bjork Going to India and getting the relevant experience for about an year may be a better option. But then again, there's a lot happening(for worse) in the Indian IT market.
I did consider that. However, as mentioned by you its not the best time to look for IT jobs in India. Choosing between two bad job markets ie. Canada and India, it is one of those rare instances when Canadian job market may actually easier to crack than Indian. Until the last year, Indian job market was kinder. Of course, all this ...

Jobs: IT-Source Jobs with Ontario Government

When some of these 'Contractor' Indians would want to join the Permanent positions (because of IT Industry downturn, etc) - they will find it much harder to join - because, the positions are taken already. Independent Category: Questions about Proof of Funds
Started by: vijulibra on 25 Nov 2006
...Hi, I plan to land sometime next month - I have two questions about the proof of funds we need to bring with us: 1. Bank Draft - Can I take an Indian Rupee (INR) bank draft or does it need to be in CAD? 2. Is it possible to just take a bank statement from my local bank as a proof of funds statement? Can I take the latest bank statement from my local bank/transaction slip from an ATM which is closest to the landing date? Thanks in advance for all your help! Regards, V.

Driving: Obtaining a driving license in Ontario
Started by: AzizTheGult on 27 Mar 2010
...te and this is what I understood (please correct me if I am wrong): To obtain a 'G' license by exchanging an Indian license, I need an authentication letter from the RTO (why? is the date on the license not proof enough?) Without an authentication letter, I can still obtain a G2 license by getting credited for 12 months of driving experience. A G2 license is sufficient for driving in most circumstances including driving on highways(or is this untrue?). If someone has a format of this sample letter that I can take to the RTO to try my luck getting an authentication letter, please post it or PM me. I will very much appreciate it. And if someone has managed to get such a letter in Ban...
