Citizenship: Should I renew passport if acquiring citizenship soon?
Started by: Donvalley on 06 Aug 2014
...Hi All, My son's Indian passport is expiring in few days. Renewed another son's passport just six months ago. Both of them are going to get Canadian citizenship very soon, so should I renew his passport now? Even if renewed we will not be able to use it for single time, as we must surrender it upon acquiring citizenship. It will be like a useless renewing and cancelling three/four months apart. I am a...

...Gujarati[/i] Hi Guys Do we need indian culture living in North America? If you say 'yes' then why? and if you say ' No' then why? Guys, can we discuss/debate on this topic? I invite everybody to post your view. Thanks[/quote] Yes. Its an ancient culture, and has evolved with time, yet retaining its core beliefs. It would be a pity to lose something that has come this far. Especially in terms of philosophy and self-realisation...this is the culture which has literally ''written the book/s''. This philosophy even permeates its arts and rituals which, similarly are a part of our heritage. Then there are some parts which we may want to lose, in the interest ...

The laws are getting stricter. (So, Please find this one out too from your Parents) Otherwise you might have to go the Indian High Commission and sign a POA for it. It is time consuming and also a pain in the butt. This is a very nice situation to be in when you are inheriting a large sum. It is a happy situation. Enjoy it. You don't need any aggravations and hence the suggestion that your Parents do the selling etc., Hope this helps. FH. ...

For an Indian to travel around in India itself wud require a reasonable amount of money. And one can't think of going to say canada for vacations. So a strong currency does make a difference. I want some change. I know this is a hopelessly short term reason :( but a reason nevertheless Belief that I can do better in Canada/ US then in India. are these enuf ............ thinking thinking............

In the case of Bhopal, it was the US that blocked India's requests to extradite Warren Anderson, the former chairman of Union Carbide who accepted "moral responsibility" for the accident until a short spell in an Indian jail changed his mind. This week saw just the prosecution of local Indian managers – 26 years after the event. That was then. Surely India, which says it is an emerging power that wants to shape the world, would be able to stand up to the United States today? And wouldn't a more moral president see that foreign lives are as precious as American ones? Apparently n...

Our Native Country!: AAP - Aam Admi Party - Worth knowing before and after December Elections
Started by: dhaikin on 18 Nov 2013
...Read this, and you'll see what media is upto and whom it sleeps with day in and night. Modi, Media, and Money: http://www.openthemagazine.com/article/nation/modi-media-and-money It all boils down to the source of funding. This article truly, with clear intent, and evidence reflects on how the Indian media works. People don't use their own brains and believe everything that media propagates. And, there's no dearth of this very population in India now a days. Right now, there are only two major parties in India, BJP and Congress. The majority control of media is restricted to these parties, I do think. In these circumstances, do you think AAP stands a mi...

I am not sure from how long you are here but things have changed all over India except few places or small cities. Now Indian kids know everything about sex/movies/jobs/career/their choice. I think these days kids are smart, fast and less dependent on us. I am not sure why these people apply immigration even they are not clear at this age what they want. Always find out problem in every system. When they are frustrated in India they came here, now they are frustrated here going back to India. Darwin's theory still true &quo...

Study: Average GMAT score for business schools???

...ngs like essays, work experience, reco letters and undergrad grades. With a GMAT of 570, you would need atleast 3-4 years of full time work experience, great recommendation letters, immaculate essays and a decent undergrad GPA say 3.0 (indian standards) Then you might have a shot. A lot also depends on what your goals are from the program. So for example if you wanna do a PhD after MBA, then your program would be more research oriented, in that case you would have to look at what kind of research is going on in each school, does it match your goals or not, and finally you will have to design your essays accordingly. It's a lot of work. Good luck. ...

What China is good at, India is not, and vice versa. The countries are inverted mirror images of each other," he writes. The co-operation he talks about is already beginning between Indian and Chinese companies. The Indian tractor maker Mahindra & Mahindra has made a dent in John Deere's dominance of the U.S. tractor market with small tractors designed to be used by hobby farmers rather than big agribusiness. Its latest model, a 40-horsepower unit, was designed and engineered in India but will be built in China under a joint venture with eastern China's N...

...Hi, are you planning to stay longer in USA and keep the process of Canadian immigration from here. If yes then you need to go to the nearest Indian consulate and ask them to assist you in PCC.
