Our Native Country!: BJP is finished in Gujarat & India
Started by: Vandematram on 23 Jul 2010
...after Modi and BJP is finished see this article Gandhi was unacceptably wrong about a number of things - his advice to Jews to mimic Indians in their campaign with the British, and to offer "passive resistance" to Hitler, and if necessary to sacrifice themselves, takes the cake. But he was also remarkably ill-informed about the Muslim threat, the deep and permanent threat, to the "wounded civilization" of India (in Naipaul's phrase - a civilization "wounded" by the centuries of Muslim rule, its cruelty, its mass murdering). And he certainly gave Muslims the benefit of every doubt. After Partition, M...

Little wonder there are so many Gujjus in Britain and North America.
You seem to be a typical person who does not like to think. You seem to be enamored by ELM. Further, it was your quote which suggested that British rule was perhaps better for India and now you are attacking Gujjus assuming...

And now there are expectation that Indian athelete to perform better in Asian/Olymopics...why such expectation if there is such a tepid response within India....

Independent Category: Canada PR Application through Consultancy
Started by: ujesh on 28 Jun 2011
... Hi folks! I'm new here. I plan to apply for Canada PR this year. 1. Is it a good idea to apply through a consultancy (like WWICS, Visa Master etc)? These consultants charge about 50-60k, but claim that they will help us with documentation et al. 2. Does our Indian work experience count when I start looking for jobs in Canada? Or is it the case that all new immigrants start with 4-5k pay checks? I'm asking this because I'm hearing that a lot of immigrants starts with low salaries (like 4-5k).
...

Started by: CAPRICO on 03 Dec 2005
...nior citizens , who don't drive will be willing to pay $ 8 - $ 10 per delivery, especially in Winter..as the bus tickets required to go to & come back from the grocery store, will cost almost the same :( They will only pay the delivery charge if the price of the groceries is competitive i.e its the same price or less as oppossed to other Indian stores or Canadian stores. If the groceries themselves are more expensive than other stores & on top of it , you are charging a delivery charge ..you won't get any business :(...

Financial Planning: Gold as an investment for 3 years from now, Are the prices going up and up
Started by: Cougar on 07 Oct 2009
This is why you should not own too much Gold: ...Expert after expert has been shouting from the rooftops about how gold might go from strength to strength from the current levels. And it could well be justified. However, if you look at the chart of the day laid out below, you would consider buying something else. Shares in Indian companies that is. Over a really long-term period, returns from Sensex have beaten returns from gold hands down. In fact, gold doesn't even come close. Since Jan 1990 till Sep 2009, while gold is up nearly 5-fold and just about keeping pace with inflation, Sensex is up more than 25-fold, albeit with higher volatility.
