Taxis from airport to city are expensive, but cheaper alternative is either shuttle or the best is train - where you can use the same stored value card which I think works out to 1 euro per trip. Typical Indian style air booking agencies..."Ho jayega ji..koi baat nahi ji...mai baitha hu na baad mai kar dunga...etc...etc..." We booked 5 tickets last year to India 6 months earlier before our departure date with Nanak flights. Service was so terrible, lots of mistakes in names and price which was quoted over the phone. Even after requested to try to get all seats together, Agent told me that is not possible until before 48 hours flight time. When we tried to call agent no answers no reply for VM. USA: Obama to sign bill that raises H-1B visa fee today
Started by: manserwadekar on 14 Aug 2010
...suit? Anyway, back to H1B. I fully agree with you that Obama, as a head of state should first think about the welfare of his people, not the ones who are sitting far off and thousands of miles away. Why should he? It's the right choice he made, and I don't think it will make any difference to the Indian IT firms who are already making millions. Just an initial hugh and cry and will be settled down two months down the road....

Agreed that there might be two sides to it where workers might have gotten frustrated with plant management (Only 7 min. break?), yet this is going too extreme. Hope the perpetrators are fully punished by Indian courts. But first the entire Khap rulings, now this - which century are Haryanvis living in?...

Secondly, I have been always realistic about where I am going and what I must expect. I do through research before taking decision about moving from one country to another. All the barriers like adoptability, culture, food habits can be changed with time. The bigest factor that people always overlook is prospect of job. Why the hell one want to move to another country? The reason is only and only for better future. And how one can have better future? The logical answer is by having good job.
