Our Native Country!: Islam: A German's View.
Started by: ILOVENA on 03 Apr 2010
... adjust to realities that it will face in next 3 – 4 decades. There are a few ways in which a nation can respond. 1 China way: Just crush the opponents with brutal force. No arguments over right or wrong. However, China is autocracy and Democracies can never adopt China Model. 2. Indian way: India was ruled by Islam for at least 250 years. Hindu were brutalized and made second class citizens under Islam. The psychological impact has been so deeply ingrained that the people have never been able to come out of trauma. Indians now understand the inevitability of Islam again ruling them. Hindus still pay Jaziya tax (made most popular by Aurangzeb) and have accepted that Islam has first ...

Driving: Insurance for 2000 Elantra
Started by: Fonzie on 02 Dec 2005
... I also posses an Indian license issued on Oct 1997. All the online quotes I tried is giving me around 5500-6500 CAD annually :-( My friend has a 2003 Honda Civic and he's a new driver like me and he's only paying 4200 / year. What am I doing wrong? Are the online quotes erroneous? I was sure that it won't go more than 4500 annually. So this extra 1500-2000 has been a nasty shock. Could someone suggest something that'll help me get a better rate? I have to get the insurance by tomorrow afternoon. So I don't have a lot of time. I expected to get quotes from 2-3 places and get the lowest - but all the quotes are huge. I tried RBC, Kanetix and BlairDirect to generat...

Just Landed: My post landing experience
Started by: Mishtar India on 06 Feb 2004
...o you plan to leave?” The next immigration officer turned out to be a lady of indian origin, she took my picture for PR and did not even bother to check my landing funds, even when I insisted on showing ( I spent $10 in getting the drafts made and no one even looked at it :( )Then I was given a welcome package with vital info for new immigrants. This booklet holds info on the wealth of resources in local areas in Canada. Every resource listed in this booklet should be explored, to my surprise I found many new immigrants giving up too soon on the resources mentioned. The whole process from stepping out of aircraft to clearing customs took not more than 40 minutes. Outside the airport I w...

Ask Immigration Expert: How long before to apply for visa for parents to visit me in Canada?
Started by: bittusimmi on 07 Aug 2008
...mi[/i] I want to bring my parents to Canada for a visit. They live in Punjab, India. How many months before do I have to apply to have them here? They are currently visiting my sister in the Gulf. Do they have to be in India at the time I apply for their visa?[/quote] Yes they have to be in India, if they are a Indian citizen. In some cases they ask for medical examination & very rarely they also go with personal interview. The main reason is you have to submit passport along with the application. Normally you can apply 3 months before the date you are planning for them to land here. In most cases they give them a 3 month visa validation (some cases even 6 months). ...

The White Woman and India: ... out of that. Read on.... ___________________________________________________________ The white woman and India May 20, 2004 The spectacle on the night of May 18, of all these Congress leaders, many of them intelligent men and women, debasing themselves in front of Sonia Gandhi, pleading with her to lead the country, made me feel sick. If Sonia had any dignity, she would have stopped it, but she just listened, with a slightly bored expression, right till the last Congressman and woman had wallowed in dirt before her. And again I asked myself the question which has baffled me for 35 years, although I am myself a white man and a born Christian: why do Indians have such an attr...
