I think shriya is not only hypocrite, she is moron also. Further somewhere she has claimed to be a south Indian. Now we all know that lord Rama is not a popular God for south Indians but she claims now that Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama are the Gods she worship. She is seeking answers from us as to status of women in Hindu religion. She has thus proved that she is a real hypocrite as she has been following Hindu religion while having doubts! ...

Free enterprises in market economies cannot compete by hiring substandard people. Vice versa if Canada was ruled by a fascist tyrant/ideology. Ultimately it depends on which side of the spin you identify and relate with. After all the notions of patriotism, loyalty etc are abstract. In ones mind, one can be as loyal to a country by siding with the occupier as with the rebels. e.g: Japanese before and after the war. This application that I made to BLS centre is for OCI for my daughter. I have an OCI myself. My OCI sticker is in my old Canadian passport and I have not transferred my OCI to the new passport as it is not required until the age of 50 and also because I don't want to go thru the hassle as transfer of OCI is treated just like a new appli...

Filmi Gupshup: Simpsons in India???
Started by: meghal on 06 Apr 2006
...ons, you need to be live in North America. That is why, it might not be that popular in India. It is difficult to understand the humour until you completely know the background of it. It would be one in a zillion chance before Matt Groening will try to adapt Simpsons to Indian taste. When you translate any piece of literature, you kill the soul. It happened with all the Hollywood movies translated to Hindi. Trying to translate Simpsons into Hindi would kill its soul. It is like eating a cookie dipped in sambhar or an idli dipped in tomato soup:p Meghal
Or like a dosa with Shahi paneer................ yuck :( ...

...ed few Questions 1. What is Canadian Culture.. 2. What is Canadian Values... Before reaching a point with your question, you've put all your IMHOs.... You said "I cannot change someof my inherent Indian/Hindu values & thinking." and you also said "IMHO, every immigrant should accept that fact before immigrating here. If one thinks that his/her religious/cultural values are superior than that of Canada, what is the point of immigrating here?" Again you also said "Yet there are some things that I cannot change". Don't you think it is also applicable for others from a different background... Manage to convince yourself first and then put...

Shopping: Dell Laptop to buy in India or Canada?
Started by: Rapids on 11 Jul 2009
Laptops India: ...procedure to buy Dell in India is very cumbersome- multiple calls, faxes and bank drafts. Its easier to buy a Dell here in Canada and carry it along but the Dell warranty is valid only in Canada. Dell international warranty was an additional $230 in the past . Not too sure if the Indian customs objects to you returning back without the laptop . I have heard of too many people being harassed at the customs . Hopefully things have changed. The best option is to buy in India from an authorised dealer. The most preffered brands in India are Acer, HP, Compaq and Toshiba . Dell and Apple are at the bottom of the chart. Pricewise they might be a bit above the price you pay here but, you ...

I look into innocent eyes of hard - working people here in India, and envy them, without doing anything they have progressed, salaries have gone up, house prices have gone up, and I who challenged/questioned/fought/migrated.... failed to keep pace with them, also they are so content. and this time I may not leave the herd come rain or sunshine. ...

...gt; Canada ( stay for a day in Canada) Canada -> India -> Canada ( 3 weeks in total ) Canada -> USA ( stay for 2 days in Canada en route to USA) Net: Under 30 days return back to USA. Question: Do I have to return the I-94? I have read in some other posts that we need to return I-94 only when you return back to Canada for good . For all the posts were related to cases where people were travelling between US <>Canada OR US<>India. Would appreciate any guidance on the above scenario. This is a very informative forum. Thanks in advance for your help. Canuck123
It's really your choice. If you want to wait for an hour or so to get a new...
