Our Native Country!: Trip to Delhi
Started by: KumarM on 26 Mar 2012

Areas I went around include Lodhi road, Lajpath Nagar, Defense Colony, etc. Cant tell how other areas are like. Wanted to eat in Pind Baluchi, the nearest location was closed. Haldiram food was good (I am a fan of north indian food, mainly punjabi). Since I speak some hindi, communication was never an issue. Went to see the Lajpath Nagar central market, bargained and got some stuff. Few times went by the cycle rickshaw for short distances. Not sure why they still have it, helps the poor I guess. Citizenship: How long to meet judge in Mississauga second time?
Started by: OneIsACrowd on 08 Aug 2008
...t hearing with citizenship judge in the Mississauga office. I had called the CIC 800 number and they told me there is no need to inform or notify the office that I will miss the appointment - I will automatically be re-scheduled another one. My question is - does anyone know how long it typically takes to be re-scheduled for second appoitnment? Is it as long as the first time? Because after test, it has taken me 1.5 years to get first hearing with judge. Is it going to take another 1.5 years or is it faster second time round? Thanks

Visiting, Traveling and Picnicing: Miss most about India
Started by: indiarocks on 23 Feb 2007
...What I miss about India 1.The amazing colors, food, sights and sounds. People in India dress in eye catching colors be it men or women or the colorful garlands worn by bakra/bakris in Kurla before Bakri Id. Indian food is just awesome be it bhel puri, faloodas, masala dosa’s or vada pav. 2.the ready smile that you see on a strangers face when you approach them for help. 3.traveling in Indian trains and jostling to get inside one during the rush hour in Mumbai or getting inside a running bus 4. Sucking on golas ( gola is crushed ice on a stick and dosed with artificial sweetners) 5.drinking cutting chai (laced with ca...
