In Hindu mythological literature Lord Ganesh is described as having a human form with an elephant's head. One of the tusks in his head is broken. He has a conspicuously large stomach. He sits with one leg folded in. At his feet a variety of food is spread. A rat sits near the food and looks up at him as if it were asking him for sanction to eat the food. This mystical form of Lord Lord Ganesh represents not only the supreme state of human perfection but the practical path to reach that state. News and Events: Is it all over for the India?

...back to India's economy - no where will you find that India's economy was socialist as otherwise you would not have Tatas & Godrej & Birla and Singhanias & Modis & Ambanis ..... And today also India is not a free market .... for eg in India to set up shop , you still need an Indian partner viz Toyota Kirloskar , Modi Continental and the like .. unlike the case in the US where any foreign company can set up shop w/o collaboration. Which was not so earlier where the economy was protected from foreign companies hence the doctrine of protectionism .... and like I said there s a lot of difference b/w these terms ... And BTW for your knowledge and you might wish to dig deeper into this ...

...NEW DELHI: India's booming economy has thrown up an interesting side-effect - the average age of CEOs is coming down rapidly. A study by global recruiting firm EMA Partners reveals that the average age of India Inc's top honchos has dropped by as much as nine years in the last five years. "The number of younger people getting into top executive positions is more pronounced in emerging sectors like IT and ITeS and banking and financial services, compared to o...

Our Native Country!: Another attack on Mumbai
 Started by: Ash20 on 26 Nov 2008
A CD's experience: ...onsternation, I let out a loud cry of super anguish. This is the end, I think, and I curse all terrorists again. I hang up and just curl up into a foetal position. I then call my wife's cell and aunt's number over and over again to no avail and then suddenly a call from an unknown number that looks like an Indian cell number flashes on my cell. I jam my finger on my cell's green pad and on the other end I hear the sweet, sweet voice of my wife, calling me from her cousin's cell, saying "I am allright…".I don't hear the rest of what she says as again 19 years of marriage flashes across my inward eye. Just hearing her voice is like manna! I heave a great sigh of relief! She ...

Life: what is the different between canadian education and indian education

It is a question about students, esp. of Indian origin being forced to study math/science just because of the bias. Studying maths/science is not uncomfortable for all students. For me, it were subjects like history, grammar, drawing, civics that made my life uncomfortable. Once, I was past school life and started reading literature, the whole beauty of language opened up for me. On a side note read this http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2009/11/18/calgary-homework-school-students.html#socialcomments-submit It is eq...

Life: Does caste-ism exist in Canada?

...m who need other ways to boost their ego. There are no official stats. I know of, but of all the people I have met in Canada, these types of bigots are in the minority. If you look at matrimonials for Cdn. nationals on an Indian website, you will see almost everyone mentions thecaste and most will state their preference to marry in their caste. This will take a generation or more to go away, I personally think this has less to with looking down upon lower castes and more to do with cutting down on the uncertainty of communicating with a total stranger over the internet (people think, often falsely, that if they meet someone from their own caste, the chances of compatibility are higher)....

Indian population is fed on the venom of MSM and especially English speaking people who have grown on hate diet are most vicious to anti-secular Modi.
