This will help to perform the task of getting the radio signals transmitted by future satellites, not just Chandrayaan-1. This mission is also India’s first unmanned lunar mission. The officials of ISRO feel that those who are against this mission are actually not fully aware with the facts related to the mission. Satish clarified, “For exam...

Whether you want to believe it or not, the Eastern European lady won out because of her skin colour. I am only citing here the last experiences I had, but I can go back all the way to 1982 and from then on cite tons of examples where people with questionable English skills were hired and where people of a lighter skin colour were prefered over t...

The hints are as follows : Do we drive on the left or right of the road? The answer is "both". Basically you start on the left of the road, unless it is occupied.    The sinking dollar: ... we have been since before the Civil War. U.S. tourists traveling to the countries whence their ancestors came will find that the money they saved up does not go as far as they thought. U.S. soldiers stationed overseas will find the cost of rent, gasoline, food, clothing and dining out takes larger and larger bites out of their paychecks. The people those U.S. soldiers defend will be demanding more and more of their money. U.S. diplomats stationed overseas, students and businessmen are already facing tougher times. U.S. foreign aid does not go as far as it did. And there is an element of comedy in seeing the United States going to Beijing to borrow dollars, thus putting o...

I think Indian immigrant generally do better in North America. We are one of the highest earning/saving and well educated community in North America. (man I remember many incidents in India where guys take girls to the rooms of friends or even when their parents are away they even call them at home. and when they get caught, a big headline in newspaper naming the childrens and their parents. so that is mentally torture for rest of life for girls parents. ) ***One or other incident can't change India's culture, there are few white kids around here too....

Our Native Country!: Impact of Anna supporting Mamta
Started by: Delhite on 20 Feb 2014
   ...
Originally posted by Delhite Finally Anna made up his mind to support the political party and picked TMC – Mamta Banerjee. It is like adding a new flavor to the recipe of spicy Indian politics. Will it be going to impact the political scenario and upcoming general election and if so, to what extent and to whom – a big question. For Congress, the upcoming general elections are like last rituals so they should not worry. It doesn’t matter to a dead person if someone beats him further. Their best attempt is to cross the two digit fig...

Other neighborhoods and city parts within Vancouver are quite safe, amazing places, good schools, walkable markets, and better connected via. transit. Indian community within Vancouver city proper is concentrated more in South Vancouver (Main Street, Fraser Street). I would rate it pretty good, as it has readily available market places for grocery, et al, where one doesn't need a Car. Also, couple it with a frequent and excellent bus service. I spent 2 years in Vancouver proper without Car. Never needed one due to the excellent transit. Then, she can opt for any place (condos, basement suites) near the Sky...

As to Oil prices tanking, yes that is good for all. Unfortunately, it provides Saudi the taste of time to come. Else they would be bankrupt ...

For them Aamir Khan 'Namaz' nahin padta (does not offer 5 times prayers) ya Shahrukh Khan 'Roza' nahin rakhta (does not observe fasting) is more of a sensation than a food for thought. Does anybody even bother or stop to give a thought that being a celebrity we do have a lot of limitations and other problems. And by this statement I am not at all justifying my stand on my own principles of religion. Did you face any religious dilemma while you were married to a Hindu lady Reena Dutta and later on to Kiran Rao? No, none whatsoever. We never practiced each other's religion neither did we force each other to do so. But, of course, I had mad...
