If you use Swift system, they will charge about 50 bux (which is not much if you are moving large sums). As far as things go, I would dispose of everything except some choice te...

In those days good cheese was not available in India, so why not?’ People come from all over to visit her model dairy and cheese factory:cheers: . Monusingh - You have time till the 1st of January 2010 to reach India. So, Please drop the idea of traveling to India on the Indian Passport, Gray area or otherwise. You might jeopardize your career and the status. Now that you know that you can obtain your Passport sooner than the deadline you have posted, you are at an advantage to decide upon it. The time on hand is ample for you to get the Passport, a Work Visa and all of the travel documents all in time for you to reach the destination, by the 1st of J...

I've a new found respect for this guy along with Justice Basheer of Kerala High Court, Fareed Zakaria of CNN & Tarek Fatah of Canadian Muslim Congress. On a side note I was surprised to find out that there are many a kids of Indian origin who do not know much about Hinduism. In high school they have a class called World Religion and when the white teacher who discusses this topic looks at brown kid during a discussion to ask their views on hinduism or the concept of gods like brahma, vishnu and shiva they immediately turn around and say that they donot know anything about it, while the white kids wear T-Shirts featur...

Life: Confusion - is it really worth immigrating to Canada?

... for me. I enjoy my weekly outing to farmer's market, the produce I get I soak in water and ozonise it to reduce pesticide content. I guess this should bring the produce to the Canadian standards. g) Socializing, there is more in India but frankly I never had a problem in Canada either. Outside office I had made few Indian and Caucasian friends. One change I find is that people call you before coming to your place and atleast my friend circle understands that you need time for family as well on weekends. h) Education, it is more rigorous here in India. I would say the TLC in Alberta is comparable as per the syllabus. i) Extra Curricular, my kids learn painting , music and sculpturin...

Sanjay Gandhi tried and look what happened then after. I was born and brought up in India and hence I can provide examples based on Indian context only. The fact that Nehru distorted education system and did not allow us to learn anything about history is the biggest impediment. We will have to accept the facts first before finding solution. Let us accept the fact that Islam has adapted very well. Where they are in majority, Sharia is supreme. When they migrate to Western world, along with Left Li...
