I for one believe no matter how much the Indian economy is booming there’ll always be wide disparity in the living standards between the ‘have’ and the ‘have not’. I agree if you have money you can live a pretty good life in India itself but then what is the fun to live in a comfy apartment while you can see the have not’s sleeping on the pavement across the street. Your Q 2. What does your wife intend to do, and how? If she does not want to go in for a career, why not, and if she does, as most of th...

Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, at a press event in Venice in September ‘06, also said the company is considering developing a low-cost car with its Indian partner Tata Motors. \"It will be in the short term, as they have already done most of the work. We will add our know-how and maybe the money.\" But Tata Motors clarified that the reference was not to the small car. Also, though the MoU between the two companies was signed in July 2006, Tata Motors and its Italian partner are yet to formalise their r...

I am not saying what is good or bad. I am just highlighting the difference (1) Family structure - Joint family is an inhernet part of Asian (Indian sub-continent or Chinese) tradition. ALthough there are nuclear family in Indian Metropolis - but that is because of either parents living in another city, or lack of space in parents home. So everybody gets surprised when I say that my I stay with my mother (Or in Canadian style - my mother stays with me). So will the next generation agree to stay in their parents house once they se...

I had examined that in 2002 and based on that I am making this statement. Is the standard of Indian CA so low? On the other hand CPA exam is PURELY OBJECTIVE and computer graded. The jokers provide reciprocity to CPAs but they do not provide ANY recognition to CPA who happens to have written the exam from Canada. I have not witnessed more shameful and discriminatory conduct in any civilized society. The reason is simple. These jokers know that only immigrants write CPA exam. ...

Like Iraqi people, Indian people derive more satisfaction in harming people of other caste rather than pondering whether policy is designed for benefit of nation. Every sensible person knows that “creamy layer†is the beneficiary of reservation and still caste loyalties and inter caste rivalries are so strong and deep rooted that these people keep voting for anti national elements. Can any one even imagine elected representatives asking for pardon to traitors like Madani and Afzal Guru in western countr...

These are the men who deliver 175,000 lunches (or "tiffin") each day to offices and schools throughout Mumbai (formerly Bombay), the business capital of India. Lunch is in a tin container consisting of a number of bowls, each containing a separate dish, held together in a frame. The meals are prepared in the homes of the people who commute into Mumbai each morning and delivered in their own tiffin carriers. After lunch, the process is reversed. And what a process it is - despite the complexity, the ...
