Help!! Hindu/Christian marriage ?
Hi I have gotten marriage last year to a hindu man in India,,i am a christian lady from Canada..He got his divorce decree from the India courts before our marriage,so there is no problem there...Now what i would like to know is this..We got married in the state of Gujarat under the provisions of The Bombay Registration of Marriages Act 1953..We registered our marriage under that act at the registrar office ,and have the marriage memorandum certificate..The question is this,,Is this a good marriage act for all religions to get married under?..I mean can a Hindu, and a Christian lady get married under this act,,and have it good for immigration purposes..Thank you all so very much for any information that you can provide me with...Have a nice day to all....Twinkletoes
It wll be recognised by CIC as long as it is valid in Inda. Looks OK to me.
